Devil’s Got A Daughter

Devil's Got A DaughterHorns, Tail, Heavy rock and Harleys punctuate this image and you got a cult thriller.  Just when you think you’ve got it figured out, you’ll skid into another turn, Devil’s Got a Daughter indeed. Jen’s a friend, a woman I’ve known for quite a few years. She’s the kind of person that won’t take anything for granted. The stylist who cuts my hair has a sign in her salon that says, “At least I didn’t have no hum-drum life.” I think Jen would agree. And I think she would like the quote from Apple’s Think Different! Campaign that seems deliciously apropos here: “Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them.
Because they change things. They invent. They imagine. They heal. They explore. They create. They inspire and they push the human race forward. Maybe they have to be crazy. How else can you stare at an empty canvas and see a work of art? Or sit in silence and hear a song that’s never been written? Or gaze at the red planet and see a laboratory on wheels? While some see them as the Crazy Ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the Ones who do.”  Let’s see what she has to tell us about her nails.

1.How long have you been growing your fingernails long? Off and on over the last 25 years depending on what I am doing in life. Right now I am in school so it is easy to keep them long.
2.When did you start it and what motivated you in the first place? My mom always had long nails, I just started keeping them long as well. The last 10 years I would have to say it is just one of the ‘IN” things here, everywhere you look there are nail salons.
3.You seem to be using a variety of nail-art, any favourites? I would say 95% of the time I end up with black nails, just a personal preference. The art is usually something on the lines of cats whether it is cat faces, tiger stripes, paw prints, etc… I also like flames but occasionally they get tired of all my nail art and surprise me.
4.How often do you have your nails done? Every two weeks I go in and get them redone. I am hard on my hands and the color wears off easily.
5.Any products you’re using and you think worth having? I tend to use the Obey your body cuticle oil and Eucerin calming creme since I am hard on my hands and they get extremely dry, not to mention getting older takes its toll on your skin.

6.Ever though having your nails longer? I keep my nails about 1/2 long, I can’t seem to do anything with them being short, but I do a lot of typing so growing them longer created problems also.
7.Do you think toenails must match the fingernail’s color-wise? I think they should or at least compliment the other.
8.Your nutshell philosophy…Hmmm not so sure it has to do with nails, but I have always said what doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger.
9.A phrase I use all the time? You know as well as I do, it’s even tattooed on me. BITE ME!
10.Where can we find you? Just about everywhere. I am all over the net. I have been on myspace and yahoo for many years. If you find music, you will probably find me.
11.Do you have a website? I have a lot of sites that I belong to. Right now I don’t have a personal website. I am on Myspace, Tagged, Myyearbook, Ozzfest, etc.. Most of my screennames are Ddevils7daughter.
